EC2 is NOT free…clients must pay based on the amount of data transfered. See the link to Amazon’s website in the blog entry to view the pricing chart and explanation.

Maybe the pricing means they aren’t playing with the data (selling it to advertisers and such) like they might if the service were free.
Incidentally, wordpress is watching…
